Biography:
I
was born in 1977 and grew up in Dingwall, Scotland. The
University of Glasgow and later Goldsmiths College did
a not too shoddy job of educating me.
I
now live and write in London, where I attend and perform
at a variety of poetry events. When I'm not writing poetry
I work
as
Development Manager for
Nelson
Croom Ltd.

Her poems are skilful, witty and inventive, and her oblique
approach pierces the heart of life.

The
2009 Derwent
Poetry Festival took place at Masson Mills, Matlock
Bath 20th - 22nd November. I read alongside the wonderful
Katrina
Naomi, who was lauching her debut collection The
Girl with the Cactus Handshake. I also hosted
many of the events, which was great fun, and came back
with a massive pile of books to work my way through. You
can find out all about this year's festival and the winners
of the 2009 competition on the Templar
website.

Interview with me, by Judy Darley
"I have always written - I have hilarious and surreal
evidence that I was writing even before I could spell in
the form of a jotter titled Boc, Gryn Miss Mosy, biy
Angela - so it is hard to say what inspired me to
begin with." Read the full interview on essentialwriters.com.

I
recently read at Bath Oxfam Bookshop alongside Sally Carr
and Jill Harrison. The reading was a great success, so
thanks to Jane and Jill at the Oxfam Bookshop for making
the night possible and thank you to all of you who came
along to support the event. Sally Carr has two
collections published by Rockingham
Press. Jill Harrison is a fellow Goldsmiths graduate
who has had poems published in several competition winners'
anthologies - definitely one to watch!
